Due to forecasts for continued severe weather resulting in area power outages, and concerns regarding impacts on roads and facilities throughout the evening, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) schools and offices will operate on a 2-hour weather delay on Wednesday, January 10.
There will be no before school care programs, but after school programs and athletics will resume normal operations on Wednesday.
Bus riders will report to bus stops two hours later than their regularly scheduled time. Information concerning school start times and bell schedules when operating on a 2-hour weather delay is available on the BCSD website here: https://www.bcsdschools.net/o/bcsd/page/school-bell-schedules.
District officials are continuing to work closely with the Berkeley County Emergency Management Department, local power providers, and law enforcement to monitor the weather and potential impact on the county. Officials are also receiving regular updates from the National Weather Service.
As safety and security is our number one priority, all decisions are made with the safety of students, staff, and families in mind.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays, Stags!

Berkeley High School wishes you happy holidays! Go Stags!

Stags dominate! Victory is sweet 💙🦌💛

These Stags are making holiday magic happen! On Tuesday, our students were hard at work wrapping gifts for Berkeley ONEderland to ensure this the best holiday season ever for more than 200 BCSD students in need.

Ms. Jessen's 4th Block Marine Science class wrapped up their Marine Vertebrates - Fish Unit and celebrated their own "Shark Week" by dissecting dogfish sharks. The spiny dogfish shark is believed to be the world's most populous shark. The students examined and identified the external and internal structures of their sharks. The groups who dissected the female sharks discovered that some of their sharks were pregnant and had pups in utero. They also dissected the stomachs and found several small fish! We had a "smelly" fun-filled, and informative blast in the lab! #StagScientists #STANDOUT

Before the holidays are over, check out our Celebrate the Season card at Santee Canal Park!

BHS Human Geography classes spent today putting learning into action by running around the National Geographic South Carolina Big Map. Students are learning about the Subnational Division of States by racing to put cones on the state map. We had fun! #LearningInAction #STAGS #STANDOUT

Stags get to 5-1 on the season. Next Game Monday 12/11 @ Hanahan! #Stags #STANDOUT

BHS EOC Boot Camp is well under way! Students and teachers from BHS and BMS came together this morning for one final study session before EOCs begin next week.
