A special thank you to Mr. Nick Yoder with Berkeley County Government for taking the time to come and speak with Ms. Klein’s students today about Berkeley County’s Greenbelt Initiative. Students learned all about the One Cent Sales Tax and how a portion of the revenue from that tax will be used for conservation efforts and the creation of greenbelts throughout Berkeley County. Students were also able to identify lands they’d like to see protected in Berkeley County and submit land use ideas for future greenbelt projects. Students in Ms. Klein’s AP Human Geography class study urban planning and this event was a wonderful way to bring that curriculum to life and allow students to see the real-world application of what they study!

BHS FBLA had a great day at the State Conference. BHS students received 28 total awards, with 15 of them being First Place Winners. These students will represent BHS this summer in Orlando, FL at FBLA Nationals.
The new District 4 Vice President is our very own Yuxi Shao!
Congratulations to these students and advisors, you have made BHS very proud.

BHS FBLA had a day full of campaigning, competitions, presentations, and learning about degrees in business from colleges around the state. The group earned a much needed break at the beach, and finished the night playing games and dancing.

Congratulations to all of our JROTC award winners. We are super proud of each of you! 💙🦌💛

Good luck to our BHS FBLA as they compete at the state convention in Myrtle Beach. Go Stags!!!
