Our Spring Showcase tells the story of friends traveling across the United States for a Road Trip! We cannot wait for you to see all the hard work our students have put in!

Congratulations to Mrs. Mixson! She was chosen by her homeroom students as our next Tireless Teammate. Mrs. Mixson joined us in the middle of the year to lead her fifth graders to a successful final semester at HBE. Her fifth graders shared that they love that she is always calm but firm, and she is extremely patient and kind. She gives help when needed and extra time to fully understand what her students are learning. Her excitement each day helps her students get excited about learning.

This weekend our drama club participated in SCTA’s Theatre for Youth Festival. Students performed monologues, musical theatre songs, and scenes. All students received an “Excellent” rating! They also watched a performance from the Columbia Children’s Theatre and participated in 4 workshops: stage makeup, musical theatre dance, playwriting, and body puppetry!

The book fair will be open after school this week. Families can shop from 2:30 to 3:30 on Monday and Tuesday. The book fair will also be open at our Art Show on Thursday evening.
Students from Mrs. Bradberry's fifth grade class teamed up with Coach L and chose Mrs. Eppich as our next Tireless Teammate! They recognized how much time she puts into after school clubs, how awesome her art class lessons are, and they know she's working super hard to get ready for next week's art show.
