Weather Make-up/e-Learning Day for Students

Berkeley County School District will utilize the Teacher Workday/Inclement Weather Day on October 11 as a weather make-up, e-Learning Day for students, as designated in the BCSD Instructional Calendar. This adjustment is necessary due to the postponement of the first day of school from August 14 to August 15, following impacts of Tropical Storm Debby. Good afternoon! Cross High's Homecoming Week is upon us! Please see the attached flyer for information on the parade, ticket sales, and game day tailgating.

Due to forecasted impacts of Hurricane Helene, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, September 27. All after-school activities and after-school care programs will close at 6 p.m. this evening. All schools and offices will be closed Friday, and before and after-school care programs are canceled. As the storm system is projected to move out of the area that afternoon, after school activities may resume after 4 p.m. on Friday.

Dear Parents & Guardians, Please be advised that all elementary and middle school-aged students (8th grade and under) must be accompanied by a responsible adult to enter any high school athletic event. This means that any child who is not in 9th grade or above will not be allowed to enter the game without an adult present; this person needs to plan to stay for the game and be over the age of 18. Please be reminded of our district's Clear Bag/No Bag policy. The attached diagram includes acceptable sizes and types of bags.

We are currently raising funds to support our building construction students, and one exciting way to contribute is by purchasing a raffle ticket for a picnic table. The drawing will take place at the home game on Friday, August 30, at the end of halftime. You do not need to be present to win. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Greetings Cross High families! Please join us on Thursday, August 22nd as we host Open House and the 27th Annual Kids' Day! This is an opportunity to meet your student's teachers and secure a variety of free resources. Both events will occur from 4:05 PM until 6 PM. (Open House is drop-in style, so you may attend Kids' Day first).

For the upcoming school year, all BCSD schools will use Rooms as their direct communication tools for parents, teachers, athletic coaches, club advisors, etc. Because Rooms is located in the Berkeley County School District mobile app, this streamlines communication and minimizes the number of apps parents and guardians need for communication.
